Freewheel Adventure Nepal (FAN) was established in 2023 A.D. Tashi Chhiring Tamang and Sagar Dulal is now owner of Freewheel Adventure Nepal, who have worked in the tourism profession for approximately 17 years. They are also experienced and senior bicycle mechanics. They look after the administrative side of FAN, as well guiding tourists on adventures into the mountains of Nepal by mountain bike.
Some of our achievements: We have successfully led groups of 135 Nuns of White monastery, mountain biking (Buddhist Pilgrims, mountain bike tour) on the route from Kathmandu to Delhi (India) and back to Kathmandu. The tour was almost 38 days of mountain biking and camping (self-cooking and sleeping in tents). We went through all the important Buddhist sites in Nepal and India.
FAN also has experience of visiting the various regions of Nepal. The team has successfully completed / lead Annapurna Circuit on Mountain bikes, which includes crossing the high pass Throng-La (5416m) without difficulty. In addition, they have ventured to other parts of Nepal, including Upper and Lower Mustang. They have also successfully led numerous single and multi-day mountain bike adventures in and around Kathmandu. They possess extensive experience in successfully designing and facilitating exciting mountain bikes adventures and have provided excellent service to satisfied clients all over the world.

Since opening their business, FAN have successfully operated mountain biking, with student from Dubai. The student needs are dealt with by a local agent, with FAN being responsible for the mountain biking. Each year FAN host between 250 and 300 students, who experience the enjoyment of learning to safely ride mountain bikes in a wonderful environment. It is a very popular and effective program, with its mixture of learning to ride safely and experience the cultural aspects of Kathmandu and Nepal. Other examples of the breadth of experiences FAN have to offer are from the extremes of Annapurna Circuit to day rides around Kathmandu valley. Recently (2024) Sagar led an advanced bikepacking group of 5 tourists of a full technical loop of the Annapurna Circuit. Mountain biking from, and returning to, Pokhara riding as much of the NATT (Natural Annapurna Trekking Trails). The group were extremely impressed with the bikepacking route that FAN designed and several articles from this adventure have appeared in the Nepal and UK press. Tashi regularly and successfully facilitates numerous multiday (3 to 4 days) mountain biking adventures around the Kathmandu valley. Usually, the group size is of 10 or more mountain bikers. These adventures are often facilitated by FAN at the request of local agent in Kathmandu, which indicates their reputation as a quality provider of mountain biking adventures in Nepal.

In addition to our main business, of guided mountain biking tours in Nepal, we do sell, repair, service/maintain and hire mountain bikes in at reasonable and competitive prices. The FAN team have also created a Non-Profit Organization named Nepal Mountain Bike Guide Association. The aim is to train and produce certified Mountain Bike Guides with whom can support mountain biking clients on adventures all over Nepal. These guides will be experienced and trained in all mechanical parts on a mountain bike and possess the appropriate guiding skills. Additionally, if required, the guides can be taught English Language. Nepal Mountain Bike Guide Association was created to address the shortage of mountain bike guides in Nepal, and FAN wanted to support and help produce certified and competent mountain bike guides to ensure clients enjoy the best possible experience
