Nagarkot, located at an elevation of 2,000 meters, is one of the closest viewpoints to the Himalayas from Kathmandu. It’s a popular tourist destination and hill station, well-known for its stunning sunrise and sunset views. Many visitors come to Nagarkot to tour, trek, and enjoy mountain biking. It’s also the starting point for some great enduro mountain biking trails.The drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot is approximately 32 km, taking around 2 hours. We transport our bikes by vehicle to the starting point in Nagarkot. Once we arrive, we gear up and begin the enduro ride. There are 4-5 different enduro trails to explore, including Eco Trail, Gold Trail, Ninja Trail, and Ranger Trail. On the same day, we can ride 2-3 of these trails. We will drive uphill to the starting point of each trail and then ride downhill on our mountain bikes. The trails take you through dense forests, villages, and farmlands, offering a unique and scenic experience. After completing the ride, we return to Kathmandu or head to your next destination.
Things to Note When Doing the Nagarkot Enduro:
A vehicle will be provided to transport both you and your bike to Nagarkot. The drive will take you directly to the starting point of the trails. Make sure to carry plenty of water, juice, and energy bars to stay hydrated and energized. While there are only local restaurants in the area, there are several hotels where we can stop for lunch. Alternatively, you may bring your own packed lunch from Kathmandu.
Best Time to Go:
The ideal months for this activity are March, April, May, September, and October. FAN will provide all necessary equipment and support, including the vehicle, mountain bike, an experienced guide, and lunch. We ensure you’ll have an unforgettable time with us!
