Route: Paknajol - Lazimpat - Maharajgung - Budhanilkantha - Helipad top - Kapan Gumba - Sukedhara - Paknajol
The Helipad Ride passes through Shivapuri National Park, so we need a permit. The ride starts from Paknajol, passing through Lazimpat to Budhanilkantha, home to the largest stone statue of Lord Vishnu. After visiting the statue, we continue uphill and stop for permits before tackling the steeper sections. Surrounded by forest, we’ll enjoy fresh air and peaceful surroundings. Going uphill can be tough, but we can go slowly or even push our bikes. We’ll reach the Helipad, then descend via Kapan Gumba, wherewe can stop for tea. If time permits, we can visit Kopan Monastery, depending on their schedule. We’ll return to Paknajol via Sukedhara.
As there are no proper places to eat along the way, it’s best to bring a packed lunch. Be sure to carry plenty of water, especially since the last shop before we begin the climb is at Budhanilkantha.
