We offer many choices of biking for you, among them riding to Nagarkot is a favorite. It is a very popular touristic hub and from where you can see Himalaya. We can ride back to Kathmandu the same day or stay overnight at Nagarkot. Given enough time, we can also visit the oldest temple recorded (Changu Narayan Temple) in Nepal, wander through the Bhaktapur old town with sights such as the old Kings Palace and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Both sites are UNESCO world heritage sites.
This trip can be done in a day, or we can stay overnight at Nagarkot and make it a one night two days trips. Given the extra day will make for a richer and more relaxing experience. Experiences, such as the sunset and sunrise over the Himalaya, from Nagarkot, which is famous. The view of the Himalayas glow in the morning at sunrises and sunset is awesome. On a clear weather day, the view is amazing from Nagarkot. We get time to explore Changu Narayan and Bhaktapur too. There are a variety of budget hotels at Nagarkot. Staying in a medium range hotel may be preferable and recommended. We can book as per your choice.
In the first day of biking, it is quite difficult as after crossing Sankhu you need to go uphill, but it is not necessary to pedal all the way, as you have the option of resting your legs and pushing the mountain bike. Second day is an easier cycling day.
The Nagarkot trip on bike can be completed in a day. We might not be able to spend time in Bhaktapur Durbar Square due to time constraints of returning to Kathmandu at a sensible time. We would need to push ourselves a little hard and keep up a good pace, but this can be done.
